Zaytoun’s purchasing policy is that all our goods are bought on a fair trade basis. We work with organisations that are committed to this ethos; we have visited all of them many times over the years and proud to be working with them.
We source olive oil through all of these suppliers and are developing markets in the UK for their other products including: Olive oil soap from Nablus, cous cous from Gaza, almonds and za’atar from Jenin and dates from a cooperative near Jericho.
Also, Zaytoun's policy is that as far as possible all value added activities for these products are kept within the Palestinian economy. To this end both the bottling, printing & labelling is done in Palestine. We're also actively working to source all our packaging materials through Palestinian suppliers.
