800 Palestinian olive trees burned by settlers

Zaytoun on June 12th, 2013

This is the latest news and pictures sent by a Palestinian farmer about Monday’s settler attack on Madama and Burin, near Nablus in the West Bank, where Zaytoun supports the olive harvest each year. 800 olive trees and 60 hectares of land were burned and the Israeli Border Police prevented the Palestinian farmers from going to put out the flames.

Some pictures and a report can be found here:http://palsolidarity.org/2013/06/after-the-flames-only-determination-remains-in-burin-and-madama/ If you would like to support this community to bring home their olive harvest in peace and safety, please consider joining our harvest trip – more info http://www.zaytoun.org/harvest/olive-picking-trip/.
